Disney Positive' The Mandalorian has shown that Star Wars can glucinium more than just a movie franchise, but comic book fans have known its versatility for decades thanks to the heavy armada of Star Wars comics in the unpunctual '70s from Marvel Comics and Aphotic Horse Comics.

Marvel Comics is currently the primary place for Star Wars comics to hardcore fans, as they're inveterate in-continuity with the movies and TV shows. The House of Ideas currently has five ongoing Wizard Wars titles - Genius Wars, Darth Vader, Doctor Aphra, Bounty Hunters, and The Pinched Republic.

Meanwhile, IDW has been serving an altogether-ages counterpoint to those with single tremendous Star Wars ongoings and limited serial publication - but that appears to represent coming to a close synchronous with news that Dark Horse Comics has partnered with Disney/Lucasfilm in 2021 for similar Star Wars comics in 2022 and beyond.

One thing conspicuously absent from the comical book lines up to now has been whatever railroad tie-in to Disney Plus's The Mandalorian. Walter Elias Disney announced plans to eventually create Mandalorian comics back in June 2020, but up to now, Mandalorian comics bear been MIA.

And that's not to mention the numerous new Superstar Wars collections upcoming kayoed at almost a weekly clip from Marvel, IDW, and others, putting recent arcs complete in same place and, in some cases, bringing back in print storylines that haven't been on tap for years.
